His 20 min presentation to an audience of 2,500 design students and professionals detailed his journey from graphic designer to agency art director and eventually to type designer. Wayne also spoke about his processes of sketching, design, construction, kerning and marketing his typefaces. His presentation finished with a performance of the world's first song about fonts, titled "Font menu Blues".
