Handlettering Weekend in Christchurch, NZ
November 17, 2018 @ 9:00 am - November 18, 2018 @ 4:00 pm

This will be an intensive, full weekend workshop in which the curated content runs over two entire days. We will cover various handlettering styles and tools (including brush pens, cola pens and broad-nib) but will focus primarily on brush pen technique.
I’ll take you through my process of refinement to address spacing, letter-fit and embellishments, and on the second day I’ll show you how to transform your work into a finished digital file. The weekend is structured so that participants get the chance to produce a finished and detailed piece with plenty of one-on-one time for guidance and discussion.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This workshop assumes some previous experience in graphic design or typography, but it is not mandatory. The content is aimed at design students or early-career design professionals and is not suitable for absolute beginners. The workshop content for the second day also assumes some experience in digitising software such as Adobe Illustrator or Glyphs.
